Citizenship of the Republic of Greece is regarded as a high honour. Acquiring it is a very serious, difficult and complex process; there are many requirements which must be met.
Citizenship, though, is unrelated to the Golden Visa. The Golden Visa grants a residence permit, but not the right to acquire Greek citizenship. Greek Citizenship can be obtained in many different ways.
One of them is through the family roots. If you have a family member who was a citizen of the Republic of Greece in the past, and you can prove this with documentation, then it is possible for us to investigate the matter and provide you with legal services on whether you too, have the right to acquire citizenship or not.
Apart from this, there are many other ways in which somebody may be entitled to Greek citizenship. However, it should be clearly understood that evidence about family ties to Greece in the past must be found and proven for the person concerned.
Of course, some rights can also arise due to mixed marriages, that is to say when you are not Greek but you marry a Greek citizen.
If you fall into one of these cases, you can contact us to discuss what is needed for us to carry out a legal search and to appoint a lawyer to handle the process.
